Summary This position reports to the Director of Human Resources, or another management personnel that the CEO of the Company may designate. This position is located on-site in North Jackson, and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM. Overtime and weekend working hours may be required as needed. This position is expected to travel up to 10%.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
Oversee accident investigations and prevention programs on a corporate level, to minimize injuries and lost time costs to production.
Ensure safety program meets Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements and FLEXRACK’s standards.
Regularly check sites and conduct assessments, ensure compliance, and offer guidance on performance improvement plans.
Assist as a safety technical expert on periodic and special focus audits.
Maintain ongoing interaction and open communication with associates, monitor associate morale, and implement ideas to improve associate engagement and enablement.
Drive and promote zero-incident EHS culture throughout the company.
Support the division safety committees; review and discuss safety needs, provide updates, training, DOT, Hazmat, OSHA and related safety and compliance information.
Responsible for updating, maintaining and auditing location safety standards and procedures on a quarterly basis.
Develop effective training programs for managers/employees that will efficiently cover all needed/required materials and reduce travel.
Investigate accidents to determine the root cause and provide recommendations that eliminate or reduce future hazard or risk.
Evaluate the effectiveness of the safety program using established goals and make recommendations, and implement corrective action(s) based on industry standards and best practices.
Collaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needs.
Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity, etc.) and refurbishments.
Perform routine maintenance on facilities and make repairs as needed.
Ensure proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors.
Manage the upkeep of facilities equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots, roads and outdoor spaces.
Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
Supervise sub-contractors (custodians, groundskeepers, etc.) and external contractors.
Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security, etc.
Support insurance plans and service contracts.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
At least 3+ years of developing, implementing and/or managing a safety program in a manufacturing environment.
At least 1+ years working in a regional or corporate level role supporting multiple locations. Experience in the specialty manufacturing or construction industry preferred.
Proven experience as H&S / Facilities manager or relevant position.
Well-versed in technical / Engineering operations and facilities management best practices.
Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and other building systems.
Proficiency with repair tools and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with all levels.
Certified Safety Professional or equivalent EHS certifications preferred.
Physical Demands
Stationary Position: frequently remains stationary up to 90% of the time and sitting up to 8 hours in a day.
Move/Traverse: infrequently bend, stand, stoop and/or walk.
Carry Weight: infrequently carry weight and/or lift objects weighing up to 0 pounds.
Hearing and Speech: frequently communicates with the ability to hear and talk on a regular basis with employees, coworkers, and all personnel matters; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Sight: frequent use of sight to detect images on computer, office documents, and office objects near and far.
Climb: occasionally ascends/descends on stairway to get to office upper and lower floors.
Travel: up to 10% as needed.
Work Environment
Regular professional, office business setting.
Noise level ranges from low to moderate (if in office setting) or moderate to high (if on construction worksite).
