Fee For Service As the Fee-For-Service Pediatric Speech Pathologist is responsible for the planning and provision of speech and language rehabilitation services to patients in their homes; and to work with patient, family and/or others to provide training and/or assistive devices for speech and language rehabilitation.

Responsibilities
Develops a plan of treatment which encompasses treatment modalities, frequency of visits, expected outcome, and short term goals
Assesses patients and organizes a therapeutic plan of care for therapy including swallowing disorders
Evaluates test results to determine presence and extent of speech and language disorders or swallowing
Evaluates patient limitations and rehabilitation potential in collaboration with agency professional
Evaluates and makes recommendations for the use of therapeutic devices and other equipment to maintain to maintain or restore maximum performance of speech and language
Considers the patient's psychological response to the effects of disease and changes in body image and speech
Addresses patient's needs in a treatment plan with realistic short-term and long term
Implements the plan of treatment under physician direction and in collaboration with agency professional
Provides speech and language rehabilitation services to achieve identified
Plans, directs and supervises patient, family and other appropriate health team personnel in the use of specific verbal/physical exercises and/or equipment to facilitate speech and language
Teaches use of adaptive equipment to patient, family, and other appropriate health team
Instructs patients, family, and other appropriate health team personnel in program exercises for continuation of maintenance program
Counsels patient/family to aid in interaction and adjustment to patient's functional limitations
Observes, records, and reports to the physician and program personnel, the patients' reaction to treatment and any changes
Required Qualifications
Must have a license and current registration to practice as a Speech Pathologist in the State of New York
Masters of Art in Speech Pathology
A minimum of 1 year experience as a speech pathologist working in a hospital, long-term care, rehab facility, or home health agency.
Experience working with pediatric population is a plus.
Must be able to make home visits in multiple neighborhoods/boros
Salary: $85.00 per visit
