Job Summary This position is a Flexible Rotation.
The employee will work on a rotational schedule to ensure onsite coverage of key IT functions.
The APeX Rehab team falls under the Clinical Systems department and is responsible for the build and maintenance of the UCSF electronic health record (Epic) and Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland’s EHR.
The analyst will report to the APeX Clin Doc Team Lead and collaborate closely with the APeX Ambulatory Team.
Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service to end users, track issues, and follow up as appropriate.
Contribute to the design, development, implementation, user support, training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing of Epic applications.
Work in multiple locations including UCSF Medical Center, Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, San Francisco campus, and community partners.
Achieve EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Clin Doc, and EpicCare Rehab certification within 6 months of hire.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area, and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
Three years of relevant work experience.
EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, and EpicCare Rehab certification completed within 6 months of start date.
Broad and/or in-depth knowledge of 1–2 areas of focus in clinical applications specialty area(s).
Strong problem‑resolution skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose problems and develop, test, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train, support, and work collaboratively with users of clinical information systems.
Detail‑oriented, with proven organizational skills and the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and see projects through to completion on deadline.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information and instructions to all levels of users.
Strong analytical skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting, with the ability to design and execute tests, analyze system performance data, and produce substantive reports and analyses.
Ability to work with senior staff and managers, serving as a technical resource and providing advice and counsel on issues of functionality, efficiency, cost‑effectiveness, policy, and performance.
Preferred Qualifications
Clinical license of RN, MA, or other tech license/certification.
License/Certification
EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, and EpicCare Rehab certification completed within 6 months of start date.
Salary & Benefits Salary range: $102,100 – $187,600 (Annual Rate).
