This position sits within a newly purchased Private Equity backed healthcare services organizations looking to add a VP Finance to the team.

Reporting to the CEO, this person will serve as the top financial leader in the organization, reporting directly to the CEO. This newly created role is responsible for shaping the company’s financial strategy, overseeing all Finance and Accounting functions, and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of financial operations.

This executive will lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance management, while also owning the full accounting function including oversight of the month-end close, internal controls, and GAAP compliance. The VP of Finance will act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board, providing critical insights, ROI analysis, and financial guidance to support growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation.

Location: The ideal candidate will reside in EST time zone, and will have the opportunity to work fully remote

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Financial Management

Act as the senior financial leader and primary strategic partner to the CEO on planning, growth initiatives, and organizational priorities.

Direct and develop both Finance and Accounting teams, ensuring alignment, operational excellence, and a high-performance culture.

Deliver financial results, forecasts, insights, and strategic recommendations to the CEO, Board, investors, and lending partners.

Build a scalable Finance & Accounting infrastructure that supports long-term growth and reinforces financial discipline.

Accounting Oversight

Oversee all accounting operations to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.

Lead the monthly close process and maintain integrity of the general ledger.

Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting standards.

Manage audit preparation and ensure adherence to GAAP and internal requirements.

Oversee cash flow forecasting, reconciliation, and working capital management.

Develop and maintain a driver-based financial model to support strategic decision-making.

Lead company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Elevate reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics to enhance visibility into performance.

Define, track, and communicate KPIs aligned with strategic and operational objectives.

Operational Excellence & Process Improvement

Streamline and automate financial processes to improve accuracy, speed, and scalability.

Enhance financial systems, tools, and workflows to drive organizational efficiency and insight generation.

Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support executive decision-making and strategic initiatives.

Strategic Finance & Transactions

Assess and model the financial impact of strategic partnerships, initiatives, and M&A opportunities.

Lead financial modeling, due diligence, and integration planning for potential acquisitions.

Support capital planning, debt financing, and investor communications.

Collaborative, solutions-oriented advisor with strong business judgment.

Hands-on leader capable of building, motivating, and scaling a high-performing Finance & Accounting team.

Demonstrated ability to drive operational improvements and advance strategic priorities.

Clear and influential communicator with strong executive presence.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

8+ years of relevant experience.

Background in private equity, investment banking, consulting, or experience within a PE-backed organization is required.

Proficiency in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, cash flow management, and KPI reporting.

Strong knowledge of GAAP, close processes, internal controls, and audit preparation.

Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
