Job Overview The Neurodiagnostic Advanced Analyst is independent and skilled in the performance and training of all duties for LTM/ICU/EMU/cEEG monitoring, acting as a physician extender in collaboration with supervising physicians and other healthcare staff.

Responsibilities

Perform neurodiagnostic review for non invasive and invasive EMU studies, ICU Video EEG, cortical mapping, ambulatory EEG, routine EEG, and EEG during PET/Wada/Tilt table procedures according to policy.

Act daily with scanning, documentation and annotation of ictal, interictal, and paroxysmal events.

Use accepted terminology and annotate EMU/ICU/EEG/ambulatory recordings.

Write final reports detailing EEG patterns, seizure semiology, radiologic findings, mapping of abnormalities and selection of representative EEG samples.

Handle all aspects of invasive EEG implant pre‑, intra‑ and post‑operatively.

Archive EEG studies, interact with Nihon Kohden database, create montages, technical reports, maps, trajectories, and quantitative EEG reports.

Review and interpret quantitative EEG and post‑processing.

Maintain knowledge of medication effects on EEG waveforms.

Act as department educator and maintain ABRET CE requirements.

Assist in teaching EEG monitoring to fellows and residents.

Develop and maintain relationships with end‑of‑study programs.

Review continuous/prolonged EEGs for appropriate start and stop times.

Perform audits of EEG annotation and Epic documentation for QA and accreditation.

Conduct administrative coverage and participate in departmental in‑services, staff meetings, and CE.

Provide feedback and improvement suggestions to the NTC Coordinator/Manager and Medical Director.

Participate in quality improvement activities and serve as a role model.

Schedule and Location

Hours: 40 per week; 10‑hour shifts.

Night schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM; works Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and holidays.

Location: Feinberg/Galter; FL 07.

Qualifications Required

Registered as an EEG Technologist (R.EEG T.) and CLTM through ABRET.

Able to sit for the NeuroAnalyst‑CLTM exam within 12 months.

At least 7 years of experience in neurodiagnostics.

CPR certified (BLS) through the American Heart Association.

Performance at or above level of a registered technologist in each modality.

Associate’s degree or higher.

Preferred

Prior supervisory or lead technician experience.

Bachelor’s degree or additional training in neurophysiology monitoring, business, healthcare, or related area.

Experience in an academic or tertiary health care center.
