is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Metrology Technician
to own and execute metrology activities in
Raleigh, NC . This role ensures an audit-ready metrology program supporting clinical and commercial manufacturing. The position is both hands‑on and strategic, requiring deep metrology expertise, technical leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities of the Metrology Technician
Execute GMP instrumentation maintenance and calibration activities not performed by end users.
Perform calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation per SOPs.
Ensure strict compliance with cGMPs, documentation practices, and regulatory requirements.
Support equipment owners with calibration specifications, problem‑solving, and failure investigations.
Drive improvements in calibration methods, standards, and specifications.
Manage documentation changes for calibration‑related SOPs and vendor records.
Participate in on‑call rotation; occasional nights/weekends required for facility support.
Maintain spare parts inventory and collaborate with Facilities team.
Interface with external customers and regulatory agencies during audits.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and workplace safety measures.
Qualifications of the Metrology Specialist
Associate’s degree in Engineering or Science or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical calibrations/metrology or other regulated industries.
Strong knowledge of cGMP, OSHA, EPA regulations and GMP quality systems.
Expertise in metrology principles, instrumentation theory, and calibration methods.
Experience with CMMS and supervising external calibration vendors.
Familiarity with PLC, HVAC, and Building Monitoring Systems a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

$75,000-$85,000, with bonuses!
