Position Summary Support the operations and transformation of global Earnings & Tax for the Spark Driver Program/Independent contractors. As Senior Manager, you’ll help scale and optimize end‑to‑end processes for contractor earnings, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. About the Independent Contractor (Spark Driver) Earnings Team Our team is responsible for the seamless calculation, disbursement, and reporting of independent contractor earnings worldwide. We operate with a focus on compliance, data integrity, and continuous improvement, directly impacting both company performance and the experience of our global contractor network. This role is pivotal in setting best practices and driving operational rigor across the organization.

What you’ll do

Manage key aspects of global contractor earnings and tax operations, helping to design and implement strategies, systems, and standards that ensure payments are accurate, timely, and compliant with regulatory requirements across multiple markets.

Drive process standardization and operational efficiency by developing and maintaining SOPs, establishing performance metrics, and supporting the adoption of automation and emerging technologies to improve efficiency and minimize errors.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with technology, finance, and compliance teams to ensure that earnings processes are aligned with organizational strategy and responsive to industry and regulatory changes.

Support robust data governance by helping define master data strategies, assisting with metadata standards, and contributing to the accuracy, transparency, and security of contractor earnings data.

Provide effective leadership and guidance for a high‑performing team, focusing on coaching, development, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence for both internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

At least 7 years of progressive experience in contractor earnings operations, financial disbursements, or tax administration, with a minimum of 2 years in a management or team‑lead capacity supporting large‑scale operations.

Strong knowledge of contractor tax compliance—including U.S. and global reporting—and experience with implementing or optimizing technology solutions that support operational scalability and regulatory adherence.

Demonstrated experience supporting cross‑functional initiatives involving data governance, compliance, and technology, with the ability to help solve problems and implement sustainable improvements.

Operational excellence mindset, with hands‑on experience using methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma to standardize workflows, drive measurable improvements, and reduce risk.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships and support a culture of integrity, ethics, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field and 3 years’ experience in accounting, finance, income tax compliance, or related area OR 5 years’ experience in accounting, finance, income tax compliance, or related area.

1 year of supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Leading a cross‑functional team, License to practice law in at least one state

J.D., Masters: Accounting, Masters: Business, Masters: Economics, Masters: Finance, Masters: Law

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – Certificate

Salary & Compensation The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
