True Method Massage is not a spa — we are a Sports Recovery & Massage Studio located inside the 85,000 sq. ft. Flyte Racquet Club in San Rafael. We support athletes, active adults, weekend warriors, and anyone seeking targeted, effective recovery.
Our focus: deep tissue, sports recovery, therapeutic work, and localized cryotherapy. We are building Marin’s premier recovery destination — and we’re looking for exceptional therapists ready to grow with us.
Role Description
We are seeking an experienced, motivated Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team. This role is on-site and focused on delivering high-quality, personalized therapeutic bodywork for clients ranging from tennis players, rock climbers, baseball athletes, PT referrals, and everyday members.
You will provide: • Swedish • Deep Tissue • Targeted Therapeutic Work • Myofascial Scraping • Cryotherapy Spot-Assisted Sessions (training provided) • Chair or table sessions
This is an immediate-hire role with consistent weekly hours, steady foot traffic, and major growth potential.

You are joining a high-performance recovery studio surrounded by: • Flyte Racquet Club members • Rock climbers (Gravity Vault) • Launchpad Baseball athletes • PT clinics • Volleyball teams • Nearby golf & training centers

Responsibilities • Deliver exceptional therapeutic sessions • Maintain a clean, professional treatment space • Participate in wellness events, chair massage days, and marketing activations • Recommend customized treatment plans • Maintain client session notes • Uphold True Method branding and client flow • Work a consistent weekly schedule
Qualifications • CA Massage Therapy License (Required) • Liability Insurance (Required) • Strong skills in Swedish + Deep Tissue • Experience with therapeutic or targeted work • Sports massage experience a plus • Excellent communication and client care • Strong professional presence and reliability
Compensation Depending on classification (W-2 or 1099): • Competitive commission per session • Tips 100% to therapist • Training opportunities (Cryotherapy, Recovery Tools) • Pathway to full-time W-2 employee • Future leadership roles available
