Duties
Provide legal counsel to clients regarding their rights and legal options Draft legal documents, including motions and briefs, relevant to criminal cases Represent clients at pretrial hearings, court appearances, and trials Conduct legal research and analyze case law to support defense strategies Interview witnesses and collaborate with experts to gather evidence Develop and manage case strategies in consultation with senior attorneys Prepare clients for depositions and hearings Advise clients post-hearing and provide clear guidance on next steps Evaluate case outcomes based on precedents and evidence Requirements
Experience managing criminal defense matters at the local, state, and federal levels Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment Strong client service mindset with excellent interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple active cases Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school Certifications
Active member in good standing with the California State Bar Skills
Courtroom litigation and oral advocacy Legal research and persuasive writing Motion practice and trial preparation Deposition and witness examination Strategic thinking and case planning Strong communication and analytical skills Benefits
