Supply Specialist - Supply Chain Distribution
Located in the heart of Anderson, South Carolina, AnMed is a dynamic, not‑for‑profit health system committed to delivering exceptional care with compassion, innovation, and integrity. This role involves professional and courteous service for the transportation of supplies, equipment, and other items between the Distribution Center, Medical Center, and North Campus. You will manage par level inventory in assigned nursing and/or ancillary units, ensuring optimal supply replenishment, quality, and cost effectiveness. Summary
Responsible for managing supply replenishment, minimizing costs, and supporting department goals. Serves as liaison to nursing to provide product line knowledge and ensures inventory control to reduce obsolescence and waste. Maintains appropriate levels based on Premier par optimization and product rotation. Responsibilities
Act as liaison for all replenishment orders and manage recalls and product conversions. Assist with scheduled physical and cycle count inventories and investigate discrepancies with the Supply Chain Services Manager. Support all areas within the Supply Chain department including par locations, distribution center, receiving, courier, and office support. Manage all incoming and outgoing freight, ensure proper signatures in Premier, coordinate returns to vendors, and document return information. Enter receipt of tissue and implants following established processes. Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. Must learn computer programs for Supply Chain Functions within six months of hire. Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently; basic math skills required. Valid driver’s license. 2–3 years of general warehouse/receiving experience desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Forklift/Pallet Jack certification preferred. Benefits
