Position Summary Temporary position – expected duration not to exceed 10 months.

WORK OPTION:

Eligible employees can work remotely one day per week.

The Global Event Strategy & Development Project Employee plays an integral role in the vision, development, and execution of global marquee basketball, lifestyle, youth, and culture‑driven events. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Global Event Strategy & Development, this role requires an analytical skillset and strong research skills to support the end‑to‑end design and production of high‑value media‑driven NBA events such as NBA All‑Star, NBA Finals, and NBA Global Games; youth events such as Basketball Without Borders and the Jr. NBA Youth Leadership Conference; fan‑first events such as NBA Experiences and NBA Crossover; and support of affiliate league events for the WNBA, NBA G League, NBA 2K League and USA Basketball.

Major Responsibilities

Champion Total Economic Impact (TEI) and Earned Media Value (EMV) reporting – support cross‑departmental teams by assisting in the establishment of a shared definition of excellence and measurements, contributing to external report calculations, and tracking these metrics across industry events.

Conduct market research & analysis necessary for completing bid specs, due diligence, deal summaries, and new business development prospect overviews.

Manage global event data repository to evaluate the global event landscape over the next few years.

Support relationship management with external vendors and agencies who support NBA Events business development processes.

Assist with developing and delivering customized presentations and proposals for prospects.

Assess, champion, and support concepts and processes alongside department leaders to implement positive team member and stakeholder experiences.

Advanced aptitude with all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Required Education & Professional Experience

1‑2 years of professional experience in consulting, investment banking, business development, or live events preferred.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience in the sports, entertainment, media, and technology industries preferred.

Additional language skills preferred.

Salary Range $30/Hourly
