Part‑Time Coordinator I, Engage Electorate
This is a temporary, grant‑funded, part‑time position held on the Lone Star College campus. The PT Coordinator will help implement the Engage the Electorate grant, coordinating programs, events, and related logistics. The appointment is contingent upon continued grant funding year over year.
Purpose and Scope The PT Coordinator I Engage the Electorate will support the implementation of programming required to fulfill the Engage the Electorate grant. Responsibilities include coordinating logistics, services, and support for programs or department activities, ensuring compliance with institutional, local, state, and federal regulations, and making process decisions based on best practices.
Essential Job Functions
Assist with planning and executing events on each campus related to the engagement grant.
Make presentations at various internal and external levels.
Support the Project Coordinator and the assigned campus' Civic Engagement Coordinator in developing events related to grant requirements.
Coordinate departmental and management calendars, schedule meetings, seminars, and events—including site selection, preparation, marketing, and training materials.
Maintain and submit records of reporting requirements as directed.
Monitor and maintain the department website for internal and external use.
Assist with entering and tracking the department budget.
Participate in special projects as needed.
Attend system‑wide Engage the Electorate meetings as required.
Perform other reasonable duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong attention to accuracy and detail.
Excellent knowledge of general office and software applications.
Analytical abilities to prepare and analyze reports.
Good organizational and prioritization skills.
High level of customer service.
Physical Abilities The work is sedentary. The employee may walk, stand, bend, carry light items, or drive. No special physical demands are required.
Work Schedule and Conditions
Use of PC workstation, Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and general office equipment.
Interface with internal and external contacts as needed.
Office environment is climate‑controlled with minimal safety hazards.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree and at least one year of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary Hourly Pay Rate: $17.58 per hour.
