As a
Shipping Supervisor on 1st shift , you will oversee the work activity of Shipping employees and contractors to make sure all product is prepared, shipped, and received by our customers on time. You will work closely with the department manager, other supervisors, and support departments. You will also report on shipping activities and issues and learn how to perform your direct reports' job duties to ensure proper training of staff and to perform duties, if necessary.
What You Will Get To Do
Plans and manages the daily work activity of all assigned Shipping employees and contractors
Works closely with Inventory Specialist to ensure accuracy of inventory transactions
Coordinates with Customer Service to ensure orders shipped are compliant
Maintains assigned employee's time and attendance records
Schedules building, equipment, and forklift maintenance for the department
Coordinates with Planning and Packaging departments on customer orders
Coordinates shipments outgoing from off‑site warehouses
Trains employees to perform the essential functions of their position as assigned
Help fulfill orders if necessary
Other duties or special projects as assigned
What You'll Bring To The Role
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years' experience in shipping, warehouse, production, or other manufacturing‑related functions
One (1)+ years of formal or informal leadership experience; Experience as a supervisor is preferred.
Good verbal and written skills
Self‑motivated
Above average organizational skills
Above average computer and math skills
Must be available to some first shift meetings in‑person or by phone/MS Teams
Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week periodically
Must have knowledge of bar coding and scanning.
Knowledge of shipping and traffic procedures is preferred
ERP software experience (experience with Epicor is a plus)
Familiarity with customer compliance requirements is preferred
Familiarity with picking process is preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
This position is a regular full‑time position at our Corporate Headquarters in Saint Louis Park, MN.
