Overview The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading large, complex technology projects and driving successful delivery of prioritized commitments. This role ensures projects are executed on time, on budget, and with high quality, while fostering collaboration across technical, product, and business teams. The Senior Project Manager champions alignment with business partners, implements best practices, and contributes to continuous improvement of project delivery processes.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate all phases of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with technology strategy and portfolio objectives

Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between technology, product management, and business stakeholders

Develop and communicate project plans, roadmaps, resource allocations, and budgets

Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues

Execute intake processes for strategic work requests

Lead recurring alignment meetings for progress and resource allocation

Establish and track KPIs and value objectives

Promote and implement agile ways of working (Scrum, Kanban)

Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level

Ensure compliance with third-party contract processes and company policies

Coach, motivate, and develop team members and stakeholders

Contribute to process improvement and scaling of best practices

Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business management, information technology, computer science, or related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Minimum five years’ experience in project management or software development

Minimum three years’ experience leading technology projects

Project management and agile/scrum certifications preferred

Experience managing the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Proficiency with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and work management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet)

Strong understanding of budgeting, resource planning, and strategic road mapping

Ability to identify process inefficiencies and contribute to process improvement

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to make independent decisions and solve complex problems

Develop strong working relationships and influence stakeholders

Analytical thinker with a propensity for thought partnership

Ability to coach, motivate, and collaborate with team members

Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Additional Information

This position is an onsite position located in Knoxville, TN. Not remote or Hybrid.

Travel required 5%

General office work requiring sitting or standing for long periods of time
