Program Manager 4
Location: Los Alamos, NM (Onsite). Commitment: 1 year.
What You Will Do The Stockpile Production Management Stockpile Integration Office (SPM‑SI) seeks a Program Manager to lead the Production Optimization team supporting ALDWP’s Production System Maturation initiatives at Detonator Production (DP). The PM will also focus on tactical initiatives such as the integration of DP in the Management Review Board and the DP metrics scorecard. The PM reports to the Project‑Program Director 5 for SPM‑SI.
Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) MPMLink Implementation – lead implementation of Windchill PLM MPMLink at DP, coordinating cross‑organization and cross‑site collaborations among SPM‑SI, ALDWP‑PES, Detonator Production, Pit Production, ALDW‑PO, WRS‑WMT, and PRIDE/NNSA working groups.
Metrics – lead effort to establish and evolve metrics for the ALDWP‑SPM scope, focusing on maturing DP Scorecard to drive data‑based decision‑making.
Production System Maturation Strategic Roadmap – support initiatives related to DP and other ALDWP‑SPM scope, coordinating implementation with ALDWP vision.
Management Review Board (MRB) – partner with DP leadership to develop and implement MRB under direction of SPM Senior Director; support monthly MRB meetings.
Safety & Security – maintain compliance, complete required training, integrate safety into all tasks.
Customer Interface – serve as primary liaison with internal/external customers to define mission goals and deliverables.
Execution Planning – develop and execute plans from conception to completion.
Strategic Foresight – identify strategic shifts relevant to institutional mission.
Risk Management – identify portfolio risks, develop mitigation strategies.
Program Oversight – partner with project and line management to ensure performance, cost, schedule, milestones.
Inclusive Leadership – foster respectful workplace free from discrimination and harassment.
Mentorship – mentor junior staff in planning and executing program plans.
What You Need
Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Software – expert knowledge of Windchill PLM MPMLink.
ERP, MRP, MES Systems – expert experience deploying, integrating, and using Enterprise Resource Planning, Manufacturing Resource Planning, and Manufacturing Execution Systems.
Metrics – expert experience developing and maintaining metrics used for organizational decision making.
Management Review Board (MRB) – experience establishing and conducting MRB reviews.
Program Management – expert‑level program or project management of technical or operational work.
LANL Knowledge – familiarity with laboratory and regulatory requirements.
Communication – proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels, build trust, resolve conflict.
Collaboration – proven ability to develop and sustain effective internal and external relationships.
Education Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of directly related experience (or equivalent). Advanced degree may be expected.
Desired Qualifications
Advanced experience with PLM software such as PTC Windchill MPMLink.
Advanced experience with ERP, MRP, MES, and PLM systems integration.
Existing DOE “Q” clearance (or equivalent).
Clearance Position requires Q clearance. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or meet federal eligibility for classified access.
