Director of National Accounts

Travel: 30%–40% as needed
Position Summary The Director of National Accounts will lead ANG’s sales growth across key alternative channels including Specialty Retail, Travel & Hospitality, Theatre & Concessions, Office, and Value.
This role owns national customer relationships, drives distribution and velocity, develops strategic account plans, and ensures flawless execution within distributor and operator networks.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience in CPG sales—not necessarily natural products—with deep established contacts (especially within Vistar) and a strong understanding of supply chains across these channels.
Key Responsibilities
Lead national account strategy and execution across Specialty Retail, Travel & Hospitality, Theatre & Concessions, Office, and Value channels.
Build, grow, and manage relationships with key distributors, operators, and retailers.
Serve as the primary point of contact for Vistar at the national and divisional level, driving item acceptance, promotional planning, and quarterly business reviews.
Develop annual business plans and customer‑specific strategies for ANG’s brand partners.
Drive new item distribution, promotions, and category visibility.
Leverage established contacts to accelerate brand penetration across alternative channels.
Navigate procurement processes, review cycles, pricing structures, and channel‑specific compliance requirements.
Advise brand partners on pricing, packaging, and channel strategy to maximize success.
Supply Chain & Operations
Work closely with supply chain teams and distributors to ensure high fill rates, accurate forecasting, and on‑time execution.
Resolve operational challenges such as cut orders, forecasting gaps, or redistribution issues.
Maintain a deep understanding of warehouse‑based distribution and redistribution.
Business Development
Identify whitespace, emerging trends, and new opportunities to support strategic growth.
Lead ANG’s presence at key trade shows including AAAE, IAAPA, CinemaCon, Sweets & Snacks Expo, and other channel‑relevant events.
Present ANG’s portfolio and solutions to national buyers, operators, and distributor leadership.
Internal Leadership
Partner closely with ANG’s brand clients for alignment on goals, forecasts, and performance.
Provide guidance to area/regional managers as the organization scales.
Maintain accurate forecasts, reporting, and pipeline tracking through ANG systems.
Qualifications
10+ years of CPG sales or national account management experience with success across alternative channels.
Strong, active relationships within Vistar (required).
Established contacts in one or more of the following areas:
Specialty Retail, Theatre & Concessions (AMC, Regal, Family Entertainment)
Value (Dollar Tree, Five Below)
Travel & Hospitality (airport retail groups such as HMSHost, OTG, Hudson)
Strong understanding of warehouse‑based supply chains, redistribution, forecasting, and
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Willingness to travel for key meetings, customer engagements, and trade shows.
