Position Overview This position is a LAN VoIP Network Specialist II Senior providing voice systems maintenance and support for the 844th Communication Group (CG). Responsibilities include install, configure, administer, manage and maintain the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and its components. Must have an understanding of enhanced 911 systems, DISA Unified Capabilities Requirements, and Time Division Multiplexing (TDM).

Essential Job Functions

Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for Voice systems.

Ensure compliance with all DISA STIGs and AF TCNOs by implementing firmware, software and hardware changes as necessary.

Install, configure, administer, manage, maintain/update and provide maintenance and operations support for the Cisco Unified Communication Manager (CUCM) and its components.

Deliver comprehensive customer IT support including transitions, operations, maintenance, restoration, protection, backups and refreshing CUCM telephony.

Ensure all CUCM components (servers, Unity Messaging System, databases, phones, clients, OS, gateways, switches, routers, firmware, software) are kept updated.

Provide emergency voice LAN troubleshooting within 30 minutes of notification and resolve any emergency voice outage within two (2) hours.

Provide routing network troubleshooting and maintenance as per the Government's Authorized Service Interruption (ASI) process.

Prepare and maintain project planning documentation, network maps/diagrams and presentation material, and input information into monitoring tools (Cisco Prime Infrastructure, SolarWinds).

Conduct research and load applicable software, hardware, or firmware updates and install new equipment.

Use Government-provided ticket system to process, log and close tickets, change requests and work‑orders.

Support traditional telephony (TDM, Nortel switches, ISDN trunking, CAS trunking, DSN) and related knowledge.

Integrate all relevant voice services, including conferencing, voicemail, Call Center, Emergency 911, DHCP, T‑Metrics, and DSN access with CUCM.

Ensure all voice equipment complies with AF Enterprise CM Policies and inventory lists.

Support decommissioning of legacy telephony/TDM and migration to IP‑based telephony.

Provide training as requested.

Minimum Position Requirements

5+ years of relevant experience in network administration in a network/voice support environment.

Secret Security Clearance.

Security+ Certification.

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) with Voice Over IP experience (CCNP Voice or Collaboration) and maintain valid credentials.
