Position Summary
Produce sales gains by delivering customer service and meeting or exceeding company objectives.
Provide documented appraisal of associates’ sales performance and give feedback on strengths and improvement areas.
Adhere to visual merchandising guidelines, signage, and store cleanliness standards.
Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Dress Code Policy.
Generate Sales
Produce sales gains by providing customer service.
Meet or exceed company objectives in all individual statistics.
Appraise associates’ sales performance and give constructive feedback.
Maintain visual merchandising and store appearance.
Control Expenses
Protect company assets per LIDS Retail policies.
Assist with store schedule preparation within wage control guidelines.
Manage inventory accurately – receiving, transferring, pricing, counting.
Document and record keeping per LIDS policies and applicable laws.
Open and close store following Operations P&P Manual.
Supervise Associates
Participate in LIDS training programs and set sales and task goals.
Recruit and train store personnel on operations and procedures.Enforce compliance with company policies, protecting inventory, funds, and property.
Perform subordinates’ work as needed.
Communicate with employees at all levels.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent plus one year relative experience.
Ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Computer proficiency and related software usage.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work overhead.
Standing required for the full duration of the shift.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Preferred Job Knowledge & Skills Assistant Store Managers can earn up to 25% above local minimum wage based on experience. Exact compensation varies by skills, experience, and location. Assistant Store Managers PT also receive monthly store sales bonuses and a 40% employee discount.
