About the Role Total Wine & More is seeking a
Senior Manager of Advanced Analytics
to join the Digital Analytics team at our Bethesda, MD headquarters. This role will elevate our analytics practice by developing sophisticated models to better understand customer behavior, generate predictive insights, and drive personalization across our digital properties. The position reports to the Director of Digital Analytics.
Responsibilities
Develop and oversee predictive models, segmentation strategies, and customer lifetime value (CLV) frameworks using machine learning and statistical techniques.
Lead the continued evolution of our analytics capabilities, tools, and best practices.
Lead a team of analysts to measure performance, uncover insights, and continuously refine digital analytics frameworks and the experimentation program.
Build and deliver compelling narratives and visualizations that simplify complex analysis for executive stakeholders.
Manage and mentor a team of analysts, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to grow analytical capabilities.
Work closely with cross‑functional business stakeholders to understand and support their analytics needs.
Drive personalization strategies across digital properties, leveraging customer data to deliver tailored experiences and content.
Collaborate with the Director of Digital Analytics and other senior leaders to shape long‑term analytics strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
Qualifications
8+ years of hands‑on experience in advanced analytics, preferably within a retail or digital environment.
Proficiency in SQL and solid understanding of relational database concepts.
Experience with predictive analytics or data science techniques using R or Python.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to advocate for data‑driven decision‑making across teams.
Excellent communication skills – able to explain complex analytical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field (advanced degree strongly preferred).
Experience in Adobe, web optimization platforms, and PowerBI is a plus.
