Mission Staffing
A prestigious, long-established firm that manages one of the largest and most sophisticated portfolios in the country is looking to bring on a Fund Controller. This team sits at the heart of an investment platform focused on innovation, rigorous analysis, and long-term performance. This role will have primary responsibility for real assets (primarily real estate), private credit, and direct private equity investments—but will also gain exposure to public markets, hedge funds, and private equity fund investments.
The team is really lean, so you’ll work in close partnership with investment professionals, legal, tax, and operations teams to manage accounting, valuation, reporting, and analysis of complex investments (everyone does everything here).
What You’ll Do
Oversee valuation and accounting for alternative investments (real estate, credit, private equity)
Partner with investment teams on deal structuring and execution
Lead fund administrator oversight and ensure accurate portfolio records
Collaborate across internal functions and with external fund managers
Contribute to internal controls, systems innovation, and portfolio analysis
Provide critical insights to leadership on investment performance and risk
Requirements
5+ Years of Big 4 Audit Experience (with PE or Credit clients) OR Big 4 AND Fund Accounting Experience out of a PE or Credit Fund
CPA or CFA Preferred
In Office: 3x a Week in Boston
Compensation: $130K - $150K (base salary) and $170K - $190K (total compensation)
