About the Role
We're looking for an
Accounting Manager
to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the Broker-Dealer. This role manages monthly close, regulatory reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, and general accounting functions. You'll prepare financial reports for leadership, support investor reporting, and help manage both internal and external audits.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily and monthly accounting processes
Prepare required regulatory filings (daily, monthly FOCUS reports, quarterly, and annual reports)
Monitor and maintain daily capital requirements
Manage monthly operating budgets and assist with annual budget planning
Handle financial analysis, forecasting, and the month-end close
Oversee accounts payable/receivable, including reviewing large payments and authorizing wires/ACH
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
Oversee T&E reimbursement processes
Prepare and present financial results to senior leadership and support quarterly investor reporting
Serve as a point of contact for internal and external audits
Identify process improvements within Finance to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Collaborate with Operations, Risk, Corporate Accounting, and Compliance teams
Participate in strategic and regulatory projects as needed
Requirements
4+ years of broker-dealer financial accounting and regulatory reporting experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent experience
Series 27 (FINOP) preferred
CPA a plus
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; NetSuite experience a plus
Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
Comfortable in a hands‑on role and able to work collaboratively across teams
