Director of Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) – Greater Milwaukee, WI Area
Location: Greater Milwaukee, WI area — overseeing three Wisconsin facilities.
About the Role This person will serve as the
strategic and visible EHS leader , reporting to the
VP of Operations , while directly managing an
EHS Manager
and working closely with
site-based EHS Specialists
and a
Senior Operations Safety Manager .
Key Responsibilities
Lead and continuously improve company-wide safety programs across three manufacturing sites
Oversee workers’ compensation claims, root cause investigations, and corrective actions
Drive behavioral safety initiatives, safety committees, and floor-level engagement
Manage OSHA compliance, regulatory audits, and environmental reporting
Oversee safety alerts, training programs, and process documentation
Ensure safe ammonia refrigeration and spiral freezer operations
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, HR, and Engineering leaders to reinforce a safety-first culture
Ideal Candidate
Bachelor’s degree
required;
CSP certification
strongly preferred
10+ years of EHS leadership in
food or beverage manufacturing
Proven experience managing OSHA, EPA, and DOT compliance
Skilled at behavioral audits, employee engagement, and hands‑on leadership
Experience supporting
driver safety , loading/unloading, and warehouse environments
Strong attention to detail and ability to execute across complex operations
