About the Role Direct Counsel is partnering with an Am Law 100 firm to find a highly skilled Tax Associate Attorney with experience in fund formation. This is an opportunity to join a nationally recognized tax practice and work with sophisticated venture capital and private equity fund sponsors and investors.
Key Responsibilities
Advise fund sponsors and investors investment fund formations, including venture and private equity funds.
Counsel clients on primary and secondary investments, joint ventures, and related tax matters.
Manage multiple complex matters simultaneously while maintaining strong client relationships.
Collaborate with a high-performing team on sophisticated transactions within a premier practice group.
Ideal Candidate
5 years of tax experience focused on fund formation.
Strong background working with venture funds, private equity funds, and institutional investors.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, think strategically, and solve complex problems.
Excellent client management skills and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
Strong academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.
Compensation & Benefits The expected annual compensation for this role starts at $365,000, with adjustments based on location, experience, and skillset. The firm offers a robust suite of benefits, including:
