This position will be based in our Houston office and is a key member of a small team responsible for forecasting, budgeting and financial results analysis of Energy Transfer’s margin-generating activities, as well as supporting joint venture financial reporting and budget presentations. The candidate must be able to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and will work closely with multiple groups across the Partnership. Primarily Responsibilities
Assist in the creation of the forecasts and annual budgets for revenue/margin-generating activities Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and presentations, including the Quarterly Financial Analysis package used by senior leadership in preparation for quarterly earnings calls Maintain and improve excel-based models utilized for generating forecasts and budgets Prepare analysis, forecasts, and budgets for delivery and presentation to joint venture partners Build productive relationships with commercial, accounting, and operations groups Assist with the preparation of quarterly external documents, including the 10-Q and 10-K filings Understand and estimate the potential financial impact of changing market conditions and trends Analyze, understand, and explain monthly accounting entries Support the FP&A Director and the Vice President of Finance in responding to requests and ad-hoc analysis required from internal and external customers Required Experience / Education
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred, or equivalent work experience Clear verbal and written communication skills Strong Excel modeling skills Time-management skills; ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and function independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment Preferred Experience
2 or more years of relevant financial analyst experience, preferably within the energy industry Master’s degree in business administration or a related field Working Conditions
Usually normal office working conditions Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing Occasional overnight travel may be required Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
