Non IT Recruiter @ Pentangle Tech Services | BCA, Engineering About the Role

We’re seeking a mid‑level LabVIEW Test Engineer to create and commission automated test fixtures in a new product development environment tied to the acquisition of a medical device company specializing in intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) imaging. You’ll own the software and electrical integration of two new fixtures (Functional Safety and Hi‑Pot), collaborating closely with senior engineers who will provide coaching and technical guidance.

What You’ll Do

Design, build, and bring up automated test fixtures for NPD, including Functional Safety and Hi‑Pot systems.

Select instrumentation, define I/O, and integrate controls, safety interlocks, and data acquisition.

Develop test software primarily in LabVIEW; alternatively deliver robust solutions using Python + C with required hardware drivers and communication protocols.

Create test plans, procedures, and automated scripts; contribute to peer reviews, traceability, and regression test execution as fixtures mature through NPD milestones.

Execute and document validation tasks in regulated environments (TMV, Gage R&R, calibration/verification, acceptance criteria, versioned evidence packages).

Produce user‑facing documentation (setup guides, operation manuals, work instructions) and maintain configuration management and issue tracking.

Collaborate with Systems, Quality/Regulatory, and Manufacturing teams to ensure requirement coverage, safety compliance, and DFM feedback.

Must‑Have Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Computer Engineering with strong hands‑on hardware experience.

3–6+ years of experience in test engineering or test automation within NPD (medical devices or regulated environments preferred).

Proficiency in LabVIEW or strong Python + C programming skills.

Strong communication skills with a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset; open to mentorship from senior engineers.

Ability to produce clear technical documentation (procedures, reports, user guides).

Nice to Have

Knowledge of Hi‑Pot/dielectric testing and functional safety verification.

Experience in medical devices (FDA QSR/ISO 13485, risk management, traceability), including TMV/Gage R&R.

Test fixture design/build experience (schematics, wiring, safety interlocks, enclosure layout, bench bring‑up).

Experience with schematic capture, PCB bring‑up, power electronics, or safety‑critical testing.
