Nurse Educator - Periop Location:

Santa Rosa, CA – Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital

Job Schedule:

Full Time – Day shifts

Pay Range:

$68.02 - $105.60 per hour

Overview:

The Nurse Educator/ Nursing Professional Development Practitioner is a professional nurse with advanced clinical, leadership, and staff development knowledge and skills. Supports the professional and clinical development of the bedside nurse and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence in the delivery of evidence-based nursing care.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field

California Registered Nurse License

National Provider BLS – American Heart Association

Within 2 years of hire: Nursing Professional Development Board Certification or Nursing Education Required

3 years of Acute Care experience

1 year of Staff Development activities

Experience with simulation in healthcare

Experience with interactive, case-based online teaching/learning methods

Experience with competency validation

Experience with outcomes measurement to evaluate effectiveness of education

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in Nursing or related professional development field

Additional specialty certification3 years area of specialization

Perioperative experience preferred
