Postdoctoral Associate – TRiALS
Join the George Washington University and the NSF Institute for Trustworthy AI in Law and Society (TRiALS) to conduct interdisciplinary research on AI trust and trustworthiness.
Responsibilities
Design, organize, and conduct advanced experiments using established scientific protocols, troubleshoot and develop new protocols.
Summarize findings and publish results in peer‑reviewed journals under faculty supervision.
Collaborate with TRAILS researchers and the broader GWU, UMD, and MSU communities to develop a research agenda.
Co‑mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and contribute to TRAILS community activities (seminar series, grant writing, NSF interactions).
Qualifications
Recent completion of a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field.
Demonstrated research ability with at least two conference or journal publications.
Experience working in a highly interdisciplinary environment.
Strong communication skills and evidence of teaching/mentoring.
Ability to collaborate with at least two faculty in GWU and align research agenda.
