is a global leader in glass, ceramic, and materials science, advancing technology from the ocean to outer space. We are seeking a Manager, Corporate Development to drive inorganic growth through acquisitions, investments, and joint ventures that align with our strategic priorities.

Role Purpose Corning GLW’s Corporate Development team works closely with top leadership and the Market Access Platform (MAP) to identify, evaluate, and execute transactions that create long‑term company value. This role requires deep market insight, relationship building across business units, and end‑to‑end transaction management.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with Corporate Strategy, MAP Strategy, Business Development leads, and internal stakeholders to refine the major strategic themes guiding GLW’s inorganic strategy.

Construct detailed business cases and valuation models for potential transactions.

Prepare analytical presentations that outline the strategic rationale for each opportunity.

Participate in cross‑functional due diligence, managing the process from inception through signing.

Present business cases and analytics to senior management to secure approval.

Conduct secondary market research to support corporate development and M&A activities.

Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across GLW to discover opportunities and align on projects.

Manage and facilitate post‑merger integration activities to ensure successful transaction outcomes.

Experiences/Education – Required

Bachelor’s degree required.

3+ years of investment banking, corporate development (M&A), strategy consulting, or corporate strategy experience.

Experience evaluating inorganic growth opportunities, including identifying strategic themes and building financial models and presentations.

Strong quantitative and financial modelling skills, with the ability to structure M&A recommendations using data and perform valuation analysis.

Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel, financial modelling, and PowerPoint.

Data‑savvy with the ability to drill down on key drivers and communicate actionable recommendations.

Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication, and executive presence.

Ability to multi‑task, manage multiple projects, and adjust priorities rapidly based on business needs.

Strong team‑player with experience working across global, culturally diverse management teams.

Experiences/Education – Desired

Advanced degree (MBA) strongly preferred.

Experience working for a major materials science, manufacturing, telecommunications, consumer electronics, or life sciences company.

Compensation The range for this position is $126,366.00 – $173,753.00, assuming full‑time status. Pay is based on a combination of factors, including location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
