The Salesforce Enterprise Architect will serve as a strategic leader and technical authority, aligning Salesforce platform capabilities with enterprise-wide architecture strategies and goals.
This role is responsible for developing an application technology roadmap, addressing key buy-vs-build decisions, and guiding risk management across the organization’s Salesforce ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on Health Cloud within the healthcare domain.
Key Responsibilities
Provide vision and strategic oversight during product evaluations, solution prototyping, and proof-of-concept phases.
Develop enterprise strategy for application design, evaluate application quality, and advise IT leadership on risks and SDLC processes.
Assess emerging technologies, market trends, and business needs to define technology direction and identify buy-vs-build inflection points.
Serve as senior technical leader for major projects; collaborate with the Project Office, Technical Control Office, senior IT leaders, and business stakeholders.
Mentor architecture and technical team leads to ensure alignment with enterprise objectives.
Architect, design, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions, including integrations with external data sources.
Align enterprise architecture strategies with Salesforce platform capabilities, bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions.
Maintain architecture artifacts such as roadmaps, blueprints, data models, and best practices to support evolving business needs.
Provide leadership across the full project lifecycle—design evaluations, risk assessments, and resolution of architectural challenges.Design and implement Salesforce DevOps practices using tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Copado, and Bitbucket for automated deployments and release management.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience designing and implementing Salesforce Health Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud solutions within the healthcare payer ecosystem. Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security architecture, sharing/visibility, Apex, LWC/Aura, and automation tools (Flows, Triggers). Experience with real-time and batch integrations using tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, and Snowflake. Salesforce certifications including Application Architect, System Architect, and/or Platform Developer II. Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments. Advanced understanding of software design patterns, application frameworks, data access, scripting, batch processing, and n-tier architecture. Prior experience leading large-scale application systems and enterprise architecture efforts. Deep knowledge of current and emerging technologies and the ability to solve complex problems using independent judgment. Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with HIPAA compliance, Salesforce Shield, FedRAMP/Salesforce Government Cloud, and BPO/OSP model licensing. Experience with enterprise architecture in the healthcare domain, particularly in payer environments. Experience with hybrid work environments and managing relocation-based onboarding.
