Job Description
Our firm is seeking a dedicated Employment Attorney with a focus on employee rights and damages to join our growing litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for advocating on behalf of employees in disputes involving discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, retaliation, harassment, and workplace damages.
Key Responsibilities
Represent individuals in civil litigation regarding unlawful employment practices, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations.
Prepare and argue motions, attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Conduct client interviews, case assessment, and develop litigation strategies tailored to maximizing client recovery.
Collect, analyze, and present evidence supporting employee claims for damages.
Draft demand letters, pleadings, discovery, settlement agreements, and trial briefs.
Negotiate settlements to secure the best possible results for clients.
Stay up-to-date with changes in employment law affecting employee rights and damages.
Advise clients on their rights and options, providing compassionate and clear client service.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and current bar membership.
2+ years’ experience in employment law, with significant work on employee-side matters.
Demonstrated litigation experience, especially in matters involving discrimination, wrongful termination, pay disparity based on age or gender, or wage/hour violations.
Knowledge of relevant federal and state employment laws (Title VII, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, etc.).
Excellent legal writing, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills.
Preferred
Trial experience and a record of successfully litigating employment law claims.
Experience calculating and pursuing economic and non-economic damages.
Strong commitment to protecting employee rights and advancing workplace fairness.
