Job Description STi (http://www.sti-inc.com) is a private engineering contractor founded in 1985 that offers aviation, logistics, and technology services. The company is located in Rockville, MD and is seeking contract employees to support the Department of Defense with long‑term, high‑stability positions. Performance Work Statement (PWS) defines aircraft maintenance functions for Line, Corrosion Control, and Aircraft Organizational Level support. The contractor will maintain assigned aircraft and government‑furnished equipment (GFE) in accordance with maintenance manuals and government directives. Services include scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with a goal of 100% on‑time departures for scheduled missions at Naval Station Norfolk, VA.

Responsibilities

Repair engines, sheet metal, structural components, hydraulic, electrical, and power‑train systems of moderate difficulty.

Inspect and repair mechanical components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and related equipment.

Apply technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to diagnose malfunctions and restore equipment to operating condition.

Interpret technical documentation such as blueprints and manufacturer’s manuals.

Contribute to Maintenance Engineering Changes (MEC), Estimated Cost of Damage (ECOD) preparation, and recommend changes.

Prioritize and manage workload to maintain scheduled projects while leading teams on complex tasks.

Qualifications

Secret clearance required.

Working knowledge of technical publications and industry standards.

Experience with sheet‑metal, electrical, avionics, or other aircraft systems disciplines.

Knowledge of ALSS, AMMRL, and Corrosion Control.

Ability to make entries in aircraft logs and records.

Strong troubleshooting and repair skills with a focus on safety and quality.

Hours of Operation

Day Shift – Mon‑Fri 06:30‑15:00

Night Shift – Mon‑Fri 14:00‑22:30

Location & Type Command Naval Air Forces Atlantic (CNAL) Fleet Logistics Multi‑Mission Squadron (VRM) “O” Level Maintenance Support, NAS Norfolk, VA. Organizational, Intermediate, and/or Depot level maintenance. Permanent position.
