You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and you’ll work out of our Torrance, CA or Tempe, AZ location on a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
Develop and refine ECS performance models and simulations for complex air and vapor cycle systems.
Conduct thermodynamic heat transfer and fluid mechanics analyses to optimize system performance.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build system models, libraries and design documentation.
Support new business proposals and translate complex data into clear technical insights.
Analyze test results, prepare reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Aerospace Engineering
6 years of experience in mechanical, chemical or related engineering fields with emphasis on modeling and analysis
Strong understanding of thermodynamic cycles, heat transfer and fluid mechanics
Proficiency in C (legacy and modern); Fortran experience a plus
Strong coding and analytical background with a creative approach to problem‑solving
Familiarity with Visual Studio, modeling tools and software integration
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
We Value
Masters degree in Mechanical, Chemical or related Engineering discipline (research experience a plus)
Experience with Agile development, Git and GUI development (WinForms/.NET)
The annual base salary range for this position is $138,000.00 – $173,000.00. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer including, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
