MDM Architect
Job Description
MDM Architect responsible for design, implementation, and oversight of Master Data Management solutions across enterprise systems, ensuring data quality, governance, and scalability.
Technical/Functional Skills
MDM Platforms Expertise: Strong hands‑on experience with leading MDM tools such as Informatica MDM, Reltio, IBM InfoSphere, or SAP MDG.
Data Modeling & Architecture: Ability to design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for master data domains (Customer, Product, Vendor, etc.).
Data Integration: Proficiency in ETL tools, API‑based integration, and data pipelines for onboarding and synchronizing master data.
Data Governance & Quality: Knowledge of data stewardship, data quality frameworks, and governance policies.
Cloud Platforms: Exposure with AWS, Azure, or GCP for hosting MDM solutions and integrating with cloud‑native services.
Database Technologies: Strong SQL skills and familiarity with RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases.
Security & Compliance: Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and implementing secure data handling practices.
Performance Optimization: Ability to design scalable and high‑performing MDM solutions for large enterprise environments.
Solution Design: Define and implement the overall MDM architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategy.
MDM Implementation: Lead end‑to‑end implementation of MDM solutions, including data modeling, workflow design, and integration. Adapt to the evolving tech stack.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business teams, data stewards, and IT teams to gather requirements and ensure solution adoption.
Data Governance Enablement: Establish data governance frameworks, policies, and stewardship processes.
Integration Strategy: Design integration patterns for MDM with ERP, CRM, and downstream systems.
Performance & Scalability: Ensure the MDM solution meets performance benchmarks and scales with business growth.
Documentation & Standards: Maintain architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and enforce best practices.
Mentorship: Guide development teams and provide technical leadership on MDM‑related initiatives.
