Growing Manufacturer in Butte, MT has a need for a Director of Operations. This is a direct hire role with a full benefits package and relocation assistance.
Job Overview The Director of Operations will oversee production schedules to meet management and client requirements. Responsibilities include managing manpower allocation, working within budget constraints, and maintaining order and cohesion as workloads change, especially with new projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong multi-program/project management skills, excellent communication, team building, supervisory, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
Proven success in high-technology product manufacturing environments.
Experience as a technical manager in small business industrial equipment manufacturing.
Successful implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
Ability to understand customer needs and develop appropriate solutions.
Extensive knowledge of emerging technologies, company products, and manufacturing capabilities.
Quick learner capable of integrating new technologies into operations.
Responsibilities
Lead manufacturing strategy, planning, and operations, including overseeing Production Managers, Quality, Engineering, EH&S, Logistics, and Supply Chain.
Implement safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control programs.
Adopt processes and technologies to maximize efficiency.
Forecast resources needed for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce to support business goals.
Foster a positive organizational culture aligned with company goals.
Design and maintain an organizational structure supporting current and future strategies.
Lead change management and promote diversity, employee development, and technological advancement.
Ensure cross-training and skills development for production and support teams.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering (ABET accredited).
8+ years of supervisory/management experience in manufacturing and warehousing.
Proficiency with MRP, ERP, inventory management, MS Office, PowerPoint.
U.S. citizenship required.
