Growing Manufacturer in Butte, MT has a need for a Director of Manufacturing. This is a direct hire role with a full benefits package and relocation assistance.

Position Overview The Director will oversee production schedules, ensuring they meet management and client requirements. Responsibilities include managing manpower allocation, adhering to budgets, and maintaining order and cohesion as workload varies, especially with new project integrations. Strong multi-program/project management skills are essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, team-building, supervisory, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

Proven success in high-technology product manufacturing fields.

Experience as an innovative technical manager in a small business industrial equipment manufacturing environment.

Successful implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.

Ability to understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions.

Strong knowledge of emerging technologies and the ability to integrate them into manufacturing processes.

Quick learner of new technological concepts with the capability to implement operational improvements.

Responsibilities

Lead manufacturing strategy, planning, and operations, including overseeing Production Managers, Quality, Engineering, EH&S, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams.

Develop operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control programs.

Implement process designs and technologies to maximize efficiency.

Forecast and plan resources—facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce—to support business goals.

Foster a positive organizational culture aligned with company goals.

Design and maintain an organizational structure to support current and future strategies.

Lead change management initiatives, promoting diversity, employee development, and technological advancement.

Establish cross-training and skills development programs for manufacturing and support staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering (ABET accredited).

At least 8 years of supervisory/management experience in manufacturing and warehousing.

Proficiency with MRP, ERP, inventory management, MS Office, PowerPoint.

U.S. Citizenship.
