Position Summary:
In the position of Data Retention System Administrator II, you will implement, maintain, and support global system environments across multiple locations and countries. Responsible for configuring server hardware, software, and storage to meet our global business needs. Serve as a senior point of contact for systems support teams, network users, and other business units for technical issues.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide operational support for 600 Windows Servers (emphasis on Windows Server 2016 and newer) and 120 SUSE Linux (SLES 12 and SLES 15), including patching, monitoring server performance, and ensuring service availability within compliance to Service Level Agreements.
Manage, upgrade, and maintain vCenter 7 and later versions with 40+ ESXi hosts.
Manage Omnissa Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) pools and Remote Desktop Services (RDS).
Resolve high-tier incidents and requests escalated from other support tiers.
Leverage or develop appropriate technical tools to perform administration tasks, root cause analysis, and service restoration (such as backup, restore, failover, log interpretation, and performance monitoring).
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for all routine systems administration functions to ensure security requirements and operational goals are achieved.
Manage and upgrade DELL EMC Unity storage arrays.
Collaborate with application development, security, and project management teams to implement new systems and services. Develop automation tools and processes to scale operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
More than 7 years of experience supporting Microsoft enterprise technologies (Active Directory, GPO, DHCP, DNS, DFS, print services, file shares, etc.) and managing/troubleshooting Windows Servers.
More than 5 years of experience managing and troubleshooting Linux operating systems, especially SUSE Linux.
Ability to write complex automation scripts using PowerShell and experience administering Omnissa/VMware Horizon.
Preferred Certifications: ITIL Certification.
Extensive experience managing virtual machines using VMware hypervisors on Cisco UCS hardware, utilizing DELL EMC SAN storage.
Base Salary Range: $84,750 - $123,000
