Description Qcells is seeking an Operations Manager to support the Business Planning and Finance team of Axia, a leading residential solar provider. In this role, you will oversee installation payment processing and drive key operational and analytical initiatives to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability within Axia’s growing business.
Your primary responsibilities will include managing and verifying installation payments, analyzing operational performance, and coordinating across internal teams and third-party contractors to ensure timely and accurate project commissioning. This role plays a critical part in maintaining smooth operations and supporting the continued growth of Axia’s residential solar division.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and analytical professional with strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for operational excellence.
This position is based in Irvine, CA or San Francisco, CA, and requires up to 20% travel as needed.
Responsibilities
Verify that each solar project stage is fully completed and accurate before approving payments to internal finance teams.
Oversee construction quality and ensure all work aligns with scope and system performance standards.
Identify and issue deficiency notices for installation payments with invoice discrepancies or errors.
Proactively manage the operational fleet to monitor system performance and ensure ongoing reliability.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Review and refine operational procedures to maintain alignment with industry best practices.
Maintain accurate updates across CRM systems, internal portals, third‑party financier platforms, and other business tools.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or related field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, or Engineering) with 6+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years working with solar installation and payment processes.
Proficient in reading and interpreting solar plan sets.
Highly analytical with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting management insights, strategies, and operational updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven ability to thrive in high‑growth, dynamic environments.
Adaptable and receptive to feedback, with the ability to learn and pivot quickly in a fast‑paced setting.
Process‑driven professional focused on developing long‑term, sustainable operational solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in Construction, Roofing, Solar, or Electrical.
