Base Pay Range $75,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr

Description QCELLS is hiring a Business Planning Analyst to support the Business Planning & Finance team for Axia, our residential solar division. In this role, you will help shape Axia’s business strategy and lead core financial processes through deep data analysis and forecasting. You will be responsible for analyzing revenue and cost drivers, delivering accurate gross‑profit forecasts, and presenting insights that guide decision‑making across the organization. You will also partner with cross‑functional teams to streamline processes and support improvements to key financial metrics. The ideal candidate is highly detail‑oriented, analytical, and naturally curious—someone who enjoys digging into data to uncover the story behind the numbers. This role reports to the Manager of Axia Business Planning & Finance (or another senior leader designated by the President). The position is based in our San Francisco, CA office, with standard working hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. local time. Travel of up to 20% may be required.

Responsibilities

Analyze revenue and cost drivers to support accurate gross‑profit forecasting and reporting. Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure all inputs are properly tracked, validated, and communicated.

Play a key role in the monthly financial close by conducting variance analyses and delivering meaningful insights to senior leadership. Investigate trends, identify risks and opportunities, and adjust forecasts accordingly.

Enhance data management systems and continuously refine data collection processes, financial models, key assumptions, and forecasting methodologies. Build analytical frameworks, including ad‑hoc analyses, automated dashboards, and self‑service reporting tools to deliver critical insights to stakeholders.

Contribute to broader finance initiatives such as process optimization, ad‑hoc analyses, and preparation of recurring financial reports and presentations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.

7–10 years of experience in electrical construction.

Residential electrical licensing experience required.

Demonstrated ability to obtain, manage, and maintain contractor licenses across multiple states.

Experience with rooftop PV and battery storage systems preferred.

Strong cross‑functional collaboration skills, with excellent organizational and communication abilities.

Preferred certifications include NABCEP, OSHA 30, and/or a Master Electrician license.

Ability to travel up to 20% based on business needs.

Willingness to work overtime or occasional weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of experience in statistical modeling.

1+ years of experience in market research.

2+ years of experience in business analysis.

2+ years of contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance financial modeling or data analysis processes, with measurable outcomes.

1+ years of experience using tools such as Oracle, Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, or SQL.

Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time.
