Job Description The University of Florida Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neurology seeks a highly qualified epileptologist to join our academic faculty. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy, including medical, dietary, surgical, and neurostimulation therapies. The role involves patient care, multidisciplinary epilepsy team participation, and contributions to the epilepsy monitoring unit, as well as teaching medical students, residents, and fellows and engaging in clinical or translational research. Opportunities for leadership in program development and quality improvement initiatives in epilepsy care are available.
Responsibilities
Providing patient care
Participating in multidisciplinary epilepsy care teams
Contributing to the epilepsy monitoring unit
Engaging in teaching activities for medical students, residents, and fellows
Actively participating in clinical or translational research
Leadership in program development and quality improvement initiatives in epilepsy care
Minimum Requirements
M.D. or equivalent
Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida in Pediatrics
Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics or appropriate subspecialty
Preferred Qualifications
Board certified or board eligible in neurology and epilepsy
Fellowship training in epilepsy or clinical neurophysiology
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Commitment to academic excellence
