HeartShare St. Vincent’s (HSVS) is seeking a

Centralized Maintenance Supervisor (Residential Programs)

to lead our team of field-based Maintenance Workers, overseeing scheduling, compliance, emergency response, and overall facility management.

Responsibilities

Prioritize, organize, schedule, and assign daily work order assignments to the appropriate maintenance teams.

Liaise onsite with subcontracting vendors and monitor completion of work performed.

Conduct prescribed monthly facility inspections ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Provide first‑line 24‑hour response to emergency repairs at all physical plant locations, coordinating with relevant teams and authorities.

Maintain on‑call availability and reliable transportation for after‑hours emergencies.

Lead, mentor, and manage Maintenance Workers, setting performance goals and conducting regular evaluations.

Assist in hiring, training, and evaluating new maintenance employees during probation.

Develop and implement a proactive preventative maintenance plan in partnership with the Assistant Director of Properties.

Maintain and repair residence interiors and exteriors, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, landscaping, and other listed duties.

Manage agency vehicle care, logs, and compliance with state and city motor‑vehicle laws.

Maintain tool inventory and safe storage procedures.

Utilize the automated facilities management system TheWorxHub to create, track, and close work orders, and log preventative maintenance.

Handle petty cash for the Centralized Maintenance Department, maintaining receipts and reconciliation.

Communicate facility matters clearly with staff, residents, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.

Minimum of 3–5 years of maintenance supervision experience.

Valid driver’s license.

Comprehensive knowledge of general maintenance repairs and NYS OCFS regulatory and safety standards.

Proven leadership skills and ability to foster a positive work culture.

Proficiency with automated facilities management systems such as TheWorxHub.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.

Empathetic, patient approach when interacting with program participants.

Current FLSD (FDNY F‑89) preferred or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
