Responsibilities
Provide timely and proper maintenance of processing or packaging equipment, the physical plant, and utilities on either an emergency or planned basis to minimize production lost time.
Direct the activities of skilled employees by assigning work, monitoring those assignments, and inspecting the repairs made.
Participate in the planning and implementation of capital, extraordinary maintenance, and routine maintenance budgets.
Maintain appropriate relationships to attain productivity, safety, cost, and quality goals.
Support and promote food safety and quality program initiatives within the plant environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, administration, facility management or related field and 7+ years of experience in the field.
Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
Knowledge of Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Systems.
Knowledge of fiscal budgeting principles and practices.
Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to lead and manage projects.
Familiarity with food processing and packaging equipment.
Familiarity in drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics.
Strong organizational skills.
Computer skills (MS Office).
Supervisory/management skills with an emphasis on communication and interpersonal skills.
Troubleshooting ability and willingness to figure out problems while offering solutions.
Education Bachelor’s or University Degree (Required)
Work Experience At least 7 years of experience.
