Responsibilities
Provide technical rigor to the systems engineering design efforts
Develop, update, maintain, and improve systems architecture design and drawings
Develop, update, maintain, and improve requirements and requirements documentation
Create, update, maintain, communicate, review, and lead trade studies, down‑selects, and other analyses
Facilitate knowledge transfer within and across IPTs/CPTs to include Cross‑Functional collaboration and coordination
Develop materials for customer meetings (Formal Technical Reviews, Technical Interface Meetings, status meetings, etc.) and brief customer representatives
Mentor Junior Engineers on Systems Engineering best practices
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience
Experience developing & refining CONOPS, System Architecture, System Requirement, and/or Requirements Verification Strategies & Plans
Experience with identifying, developing, researching, or completing trade studies across multiple disciplines
Experience working with Integrated Product Teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Firmware, Simulations, Integration & Test, Operations, Quality & Mission Assurance, Safety, Configuration Management, Data Management, Whole Life)
Experience working on a cross‑functional team of Systems Engineers and multidiscipline engineers
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience developing materials for customer meetings (Formal Technical Reviews, Technical Interface Meetings, status meetings, etc.) and brief customer representatives
Post Graduate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Experience with fast‑paced multi‑faced Missile programs
Thorough understanding of Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle
Detailed experience in one or more of the following domains: mechanical design, electrical design, embedded software, signal processing, GNC, system integration & test, 6DOF/model development
Prior work experience giving technical briefs or presentations with strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience using MBSE tools (DOORS, Cameo, Rhapsody, etc.)
Familiarity with program coordination management tools (Jira, Confluence, cPDM, etc.)
Experience interfacing with customers, customer representatives, and technical design authorities
Experience performing Functional & Physical Configuration Audits
Experience with Subassembly and System Integration, Verification, & Validation
Existing Top‑Secret Clearance

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
