Family Law Associate
A respected regional firm in Virginia is seeking a talented
Family Law Associate
to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will bring at least
three years of family law or litigation experience
and step into a key role supporting highly diverse family law and fiduciary matters while working alongside multiple partners.
Judicial clerkship experience is highly desirable.
In this role, you will:
Conduct legal research and analysis on a range of family law issues.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents in collaboration with senior attorneys.
Interview clients, gather relevant case information, and contribute to strategic planning.
Attend court hearings, mediation sessions, and other proceedings as needed.
Qualifications include:
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Virginia Bar (or willingness to waive); DC and MD admissions are a plus.
A minimum of
three years of hands‑on family law experience , including divorce, custody, support, and related matters.
Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
