The Texas Institute for Electronics (TIE) is a semiconductor consortium supported by the University of Texas at Austin, involving government, industry, and academic partners. Our mission is to develop advanced 3D Heterogeneous Integration manufacturing technology and provide critical pilot manufacturing capabilities to support national security and economic growth. Responsibilities
Provide vision and leadership in developing pathfinding programs in advanced heterogenous integration. Identify key priorities in semiconductor technology to create impact in design and manufacturing sectors. Manage a multidisciplinary team to achieve research and strategic goals. Oversee development of semiconductor process flows to advance critical domains like advanced packaging. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in materials science, chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering, or related field. Fifteen (15) years of experience in semiconductor fabrication, including at least 5 years managing or supervising programs. Experience with pathfinding programs exploring novel materials, processes, and integration R&D. Strong communication, goal orientation, and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree or more years of experience with standard semiconductor processes such as patterning, etching, deposition, and metrology. Application Materials
