The TIE Semiconductor Business Analyst / Senior Semiconductor Business Analyst will report to the Senior Director of Business Analytics. The role will perform financial and business analysis for TIE’s products and services, build/update/maintain financial models, collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide business strategies for TIE’s long-term success, and support TIE’s grant preparation and submission activities. It will perform other duties as needed for the Senior Director of Business Analytics and TIE Leadership. Responsibilities
Create, upgrade, and utilize semiconductor fabrication cost, capacity, and pricing models to provide monthly, quarterly, and annual analyses/forecasts. Provide financial forecasts and trend analysis by performing “what if” and sensitivity analyses. Support TIE’s sales and business development teams by providing quantitative financial estimates for proposed product and service offerings. Facilitate financial reviews and analyze performance to plan for key financial measures, including expenses, capital, and headcount. Interface with the TIE finance team to ensure that TIE’s business analytics models align with other financial models, records, and forecasts. Interface with TIE IT teams to assist in implementing ERP, MES, and MIS software solutions, and develop dashboards relevant for business and financial modeling. Develop performance measures that assess data trends, provide insights, support efficiency initiatives, and aid investment decisions. Support TIE leadership on analytics projects and ad hoc analysis. Provide general support for TIE’s grant writing and submission activities, including budget creation and liaison with principal investigators and UT Austin offices as needed. Create/maintain records/databases to track financial metrics, quantities, intellectual property, and agreement commitments. Assist in initiating, monitoring, and completing a portfolio of legal agreements and letters with external parties (e.g., NDAs, SRAs, CRADAs, Visiting Scholar Agreements, Letters of Support, MOUs). Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Semiconductor Business Analyst:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting (or related field); or a Bachelor’s in engineering/science with demonstrated background in finance, business, accounting, or related field. Senior Semiconductor Business Analyst:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting (or related field) or engineering/science field with 2 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field. Advanced proficiency with MS Office (Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge of ERP and MIS systems and reporting tools. Able to become an expert user of various software tools quickly. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent follow-up and execution. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications
More than 2 years of experience in finance, business, accounting in the semiconductor industry. Advanced proficiency in ERP and MIS systems and reporting tools. Prior experience in the semiconductor industry. Experience with cloud-based MES systems. Knowledge of 3D ICs and various integration schemes. Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing. Strong financial and business analyst skills and ability to communicate complex data clearly. Experience developing client relationships. Notes about Qualifications

Semiconductor Operations Specialist: $87,000+ depending on qualifications. Senior Semiconductor Operations Specialist: $102,000+ depending on qualifications. Working Conditions
On-site in a scientific research environment and prototyping facility with collaboration across multiple partners/customers. Occasional extended hours may be required during peak periods and events. Occasional travel may be required. Normal office conditions; routine keyboard/mouse use. Required Materials
