The Construction Executive will serve as one of the key leaders and oversee the successful delivery of the firms multifamily development pipeline. This executive will be responsible for all aspects of construction management — from preconstruction and estimating through vertical execution, closeout, and turnover — ensuring every project is delivered safely, on schedule, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Construction Executive will work closely with the Development, Design, and Operations teams to align project delivery with financial and operational goals, while building a best-in-class construction organization capable of supporting continued growth across multiple markets

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead operations across all active and upcoming multifamily development projects, overseeing project management, field supervision, safety, quality control, and financial performance.

Manage the full construction lifecycle, including preconstruction, estimating, scheduling, subcontractor procurement, project execution, closeout, and warranty.

Partner closely with the Vice President of Development to ensure seamless transition from design and entitlement through construction start and delivery, maintaining alignment on budget, scope, and schedule.

Provide strategic leadership to project managers, superintendents, and field teams, establishing clear accountability for safety, quality, and performance standards. Oversee preconstruction and cost estimating, managing budgets, value engineering, and subcontractor bid processes to ensure cost efficiency and transparency.

Implement standardized project controls, systems, and reporting to strengthen schedule management, cost tracking, and communication across all projects.

Ensure compliance with local building codes, permitting requirements, and safety regulations, fostering a proactive safety culture across all job sites.

Cultivate strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and municipal officials to support timely and efficient project delivery.

Drive continuous improvement, optimizing construction methodologies, sequencing, and technology utilization to enhance speed, quality, and efficiency.

Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of construction professionals

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES / QUALIFICATIONS

15+ years of multifamily construction experience, including significant leadership experience with a general contractor or developer-builder organization.

Proven track record in delivering ground-up multifamily and mixed-use projects on time and within budget.

Demonstrated success in managing large, multi-project construction portfolios, including oversight of project managers, superintendents, and field teams.

Strong background in preconstruction, cost estimating, value engineering, and schedule management.

Deep understanding of construction methods, building systems, safety standards, and quality control for multifamily projects.

Strategic thinker with strong financial acumen, capable of aligning construction execution with broader company goals.

Collaborative and solutions-oriented leader with exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Ability to build, motivate, and retain a high-performing construction team in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
