We are looking for a motivated, experienced

Profee Coder

with at least 1 year of Urology coding experience. Preferred experience in Surgical Urology, Gynecology Oncology, and academic coding guidelines.

Ideal Candidate

Minimum 1 year recent experience in E/M Urology coding (clearly reflected in your attached resume).

Surgical Urology experience preferred.

Must be currently certified through AAPC or AHIMA (minimum CPC‑A; must upload certification or provide number).

The hours are flexible with the ability to work your 8‑hour shift between 5 am‑7 pm (Mon‑Fri). This is a fully remote position available only to residents of AK, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI & WY. Position Summary Evaluates medical records, provides clinical and surgical abstraction, and assigns appropriate clinical diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with nationally recognized coding guidelines.

Core Functions

Analyzes medical information from records, codes diagnostic and procedural information per guidelines, consults with providers, and delivers accurate coding. Addresses NCCI edits and reconciles charges as required.

Abstracts diagnoses, procedure codes, and other pertinent data; seeks missing information and maintains complete records.

Provides quality assurance for records, ensuring compliance with Medicaid, CMS, OIG, HCFA, and company standards.

Compiles daily and monthly reports; tabulates data for research or analysis.

Works independently, using knowledge for ICD/CPT code assignment and seeking guidance when needed.

Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED or equivalent, with specialized training or an Associate’s degree in a related health‑care field.

Certification: CPC, CCS, CCS‑P, CCA, CPC‑A, RHIA, or RHIT (active status with AAPC or AHIMA). Six months of professional coding experience required.

Must demonstrate knowledge of ICD and CPT coding principles and be able to work effectively in a remote setting.

Preferred Qualifications Specialty certification.
