Responsibilities
Strategic Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Lead university-wide recruitment, oversee strategy, processes, and systems. (30%)
Workforce Planning and Organizational Design: Lead development and implementation of strategic organizational design initiatives, policies, and programs. (25%)
Employee Relations & Workforce Engagement: Provide leadership for employee relations and workforce engagement, including investigations and corrective action. (20%)
Leadership & Strategic Planning: Serve as a member of the UHR leadership team, provide performance management and coaching. (15%)
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence: Drive operational excellence through data‑driven process improvement and system optimization. (10%)
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of professional experience, including 3 years in a leadership role.
Master’s degree preferred.
7+ years in higher education human resources.
Progressive experience in talent management, recruitment, and workforce engagement.
2+ years of supervisory experience leading multi‑functional HR teams.
Experience in recruitment, hiring, and employee relations within a large, complex organization.
HR certification such as SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, HRCI‑PHR, or HRCI‑SPHR.
Skills and Abilities
Develop and execute effective recruiting strategies.
Strong background in higher education recruiting and talent acquisition.
Knowledge of employee relations and employment policy, including investigations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical and data‑driven decision making.
Leadership and coaching experience.
Experience with HR systems and processes.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Physical Demands
Work in a standard office environment and operate electronic equipment.
Use electronic mail, telephone, face‑to‑face discussions, and paper‑form correspondence.
