Job Description Reporting to the Senior Director of Operations, the
Bilingual (English/Spanish) Laundry Production Manager
is responsible for overseeing laundry operations at Nuage Designs, ensuring efficient and high-quality processing of linens and textiles. This critical role includes managing daily linen receiving and sorting, ensuring all items are properly prepared for cleaning, repair, and upcoming preparation for new outbound orders. Additionally, the Production Manager will oversee facilities maintenance and laundry equipment to ensure smooth and continuous operations. This role involves leading the laundry team, monitoring production schedules, and upholding company standards for quality, productivity, and safety.
What You’ll Do
Oversee daily laundry operations, including washing, drying, ironing, and folding linens and textiles
Responsible for daily linen receiving and sorting, ensuring linens are processed for cleaning, repair, and upcoming preparation for new outbound orders
Manage production schedules to ensure timely processing and delivery of linens for events and hospitality clients
Supervise and train laundry staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety protocols
Monitor and maintain laundry equipment, ensuring timely repairs and preventative maintenance to avoid downtime
Oversee facilities maintenance to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-functioning work environment
Implement and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Ensure quality control at all stages of the laundry process to maintain high standards
Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and fulfillment teams to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries
Define, implement, and track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as production output, quality, and efficiency, and report on performance to Director of Logistics & Warehouse Operations
Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and managed procurement to avoid disruptions in production
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in both laundry operations and facilities management
Will also be tasked with addressing and executing special projects as assigned by senior management.
What You’ll Need
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Familiarity with fulfillment technology and systems, with a preference for experience in RFID or barcode technology
3 - 5 years of experience managing laundry operations or a similar production environment
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, operations management, production management, or a related field; or equivalent experience
Strong ability to optimize production processes and manage resources effectively
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
Experience in facilities maintenance and equipment management is preferred
Ability to work with mathematical concepts related to inventory, such as percentages, proportions, and volume
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
Strong relationship management skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) and perform physical labor
Experience working with event planners, venues, and corporate clients is a plus
Experience in the hospitality and rental industry is a plus
Knowledge of event logistics, furniture, tabletop, and décor rentals is a plus
APICS Certification is a plus
A strong background and knowledge of appropriate chemicals for various textiles, with the ability to develop and implement unique or proprietary cleaning solutions and formulas
