The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our Operations Team working on Data Center, Vehicle Manufacturing, or General Build Construction projects. The role involves planning, developing, coordinating, and managing onsite construction engineering activities for large, extensive projects. Technical support includes participation in construction planning and design, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. You will also develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents in the Prolog database, prepare material status reports, process requests for information, and manage meeting minutes.
Location You can be located anywhere in the US, provided you are willing to travel long-term to our client projects.
Responsibilities Your key responsibilities
Project Execution:
Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support the overall construction schedule. Provide technical support including participation in construction planning and design, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. Develop, implement, and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents.
Resource Management:
Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities, including subcontractor planning and administration. Interface with all on-site departments to resolve problems and ensure construction quality in support of project schedules.
Risk Management:
Represent the company, project, and/or department during A/E, client, and project management meetings.
Technical Support:
Serve as a key technical person on projects, potentially responsible for one or more small to medium-sized projects.
Qualifications To qualify for the role, you must have
A 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and related experience.
Minimum of 3 years of similar construction engineering experience.
Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, and an in-depth understanding of interdependent functional units.
Ideally, you’ll also have
Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Skills And Attributes For Success
Strong technical knowledge encompassing construction and engineering processes, procurement, project controls reporting, and contract management.
Proficiency in budget management, financial forecasting, and resource allocation.
Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and adapt to changing project requirements.
